Payer vos stagiaires

Pay Your Interns​ (“Payer vos stagiaires”) est un mouvement de stagiaires, d’étudiants et de jeunes professionnels qui dénonce la réalité discriminatoire des stages non rémunérés dans le système des Nations Unies et d’autres organisations. Nous constatons avec révolte que cette pratique est en contradiction avec des principes fondateurs de l’ONU, le droit à un travail décent et la promotion de l’égalité des chances. L’article 23 de la Déclaration universelle des droits de l’homme stipule que « toute personne, sans discrimination aucune, a le droit à un salaire égal pour un travail égal ». Nous demandons dès lors à l’ONU, ses institutions spécialisées, ses bureaux sur le terrain, ainsi qu’aux autres organisations internationales d’être cohérents avec leurs propres valeurs et donc de mettre fin à une pratique qui non seulement exploite les jeunes, mais qui représente aussi en elle-même une discrimination basée sur les conditions économiques des jeunes pouvant se permettre un travail non rémunéré. Donc on participe au cortège du première Mai et on organisent une série d’activités de suivi pour sensibiliser sur la thématique.

Pay Your Interns (“Bezahle deine Praktikanten”) ist eine Bewegung von Praktikanten, Studenten und Berufseinsteiger, die, die diskriminierende Realität von un-bezahlten Praktika im System der Vereinten Nationen (VN) und anderen Organisationen anprangert. Wir glauben, dass diese berüchtigte Praxis den grundlegenden Prinzipien der VN widerspricht, vor allem dem Recht auf gerechte Arbeitsbedingungen und die Förderung von Chancengleichheit. Artikel 23 der Allgemeinen Erklärung der Menschenrechte besagt : “Jeder, ohne Unterschied, hat das Recht auf gleichen Lohn für gleiche Arbeit.” Wir fordern von den VN, ihren Sonderorganisationen, ihren Feldbüros und anderen internationalen Organisationen Kohärenz mit ihren eigenen Grundsätzen zu zeigen und diese Praxis beenden, die nicht nur junge Menschen ausbeutet, sondern auch eine Diskriminierung auf ökonomischer Basis darstellt, um diesem Thema mehr Aufmerksamkeit zu verschaffen, nehmen wir an der ersten May Demonstration teil und organisieren eine Reihe von folge Aktivitäten.

Pay Your Interns ​is a movement of interns, students and young professionals that denounces the discriminatory reality of unpaid internships in the UN system and in other organizations. We believe that this infamous practice is at odds with the very principles upon which the UN is based, the right to decent work and the promotion of equal opportunities. Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that “everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.” We ask the UN, its specialized agencies, its field offices, as well as other international organizations to be coherent with their own values and hence put an end to a practice which not only exploits young people, but also leads to discrimination based on economic conditions. In order to increase awareness of this issue we are participating at the first of May march and organising a series of follow-up activities.
